How you use Facebook, email, and cell phones can have glorious or disastrous results. Today Fox News reported an unbelievable tragedy in Massachusetts. Mean words cut deeper than daggers.
“[Phoebe] Prince died on Jan. 14 after a rough freshman year. Friends and school officials told MyFoxBoston.com that Prince had been picked on and taunted since moving to Massachusetts last fall…
School bullies taunted Phoebe Prince through text messages, the computer and on Facebook and other social networking sites, Smith told the Boston Herald…
Even after her death, bullies posted disparaging messages on her Facebook memorial page. The comments had to be removed from the page.
This I can’t believe. They kept bullying her even after she committed suicide? Are you kidding me? This display of inexpressible pride can only be summed up in the words of Isaiah 5:20:
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”
If you are being cyber bullied, cling to the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians chapter 1). If you know someone who is being cyber bullied, reach out to them with the love of Jesus. If you find joy in hurting others, heed Isaiah’s warning.
